Serving The Community
The Judaic Studies Program collaborates with community educational and cultural institutions in cultural programs.
Educational Courses for the Community: The Program offers educational outreach programs for the community, arranges formal and informal courses, mini-courses, workshops and seminars in Judaic subjects.
Lecture Bureau: The program offers its resources and provides speakers to the community at large on Judaic matters.
Liaison with Community Organizations: The Program serves as a liaison between the University of Central Florida and interested community organizations by providing information about activities, events, and courses that are of interest to those in the community.
Media and Communications: Judaic Studies issues a printed Newsletter several times a year which contains up-to-date information on the Program, its courses, public lectures, research activities, and student activities. The Program maintains an updated internet site which covers all aspects of the Program; it also uses several listservs to disseminate information to interested faculty and staff about UCF Judaic Studies activities and local Jewish community activities.
