Rabbi Sanford Olshansky: "Reconciling Science & Religion"

The UCF Judaic Studies Program and Central Florida Hillel will be co- sponsoring a presentation November 12, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. by Rabbi Sanford Olshansky. The presentation is entitled: “Reconciling Science & Religion—the Book of Genesis & the Big Bang Theory.” Rabbi Olshansky received his undergraduate degree in Physics at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland and an MBA degree from the University of Detroit. After several years in business and the entertainment industry, he returned to Gratz College and the Academy for Jewish Religion to complete a Master of Arts Degree in Jewish Studies followed by Rabbinic Ordination. Rabbi Olshansky is known as an innovative and spirited religious leader who is committed to making Judaism more meaningful in the 21st Century. He is equally comfortable with unscripted dialogue as well as structured sermons. His engaging style of presentation is both informative and entertaining.
